In 2012 Nick Scroggie and Kim Thain decided to go on a big trip backpacking across the USA…..

After looking at driving (and Route 66) they decided to mainly go by train (Amtrak) starting in New York and ending 3 weeks later in Denver, with a drive in the middle.

8 months after deciding to do it this blog is the story of the adventure that followed!
